Science Guy

Ryan has had a great time with the fifth grade science fair project this year. He heard that if you advanced from our school fair, you got to take a day off school to go the regional science fair - and that's all he needed to hear. He was convinced that he could win. So, Mom and Dad put together a project, helped him conduct his experiment, Mom and Nana put the project board together . . . you get the picture. Science fair projects in fifth grade are really homework for the parents. Well, I guess I'm a pretty good science fair project putter-together, cause we went all the way to regionals, and even won a blue ribbon and medal there. It's been fun to reap some additional rewards for putting in the time and effort, and I'm happy for Ryan to have this achievement - and it's not soccer. Okay, it's sorta about soccer. I'm proud of him. I put the board together, but he had to stand there and talk to the judges, answer questions, and defend his project to a bunch of strangers. It was a long day, but he was thrilled.
